    So how much more bad debt does that idiot Begg believe the apparently bottomless pit of Public finance should take on board?

    Begg & co have done more than their fair share to get the country into the mess its in and block off avenues of recovery, he should leave well enough alone. Unless of course he believes that nationalisation of banks will provide a slush fund for him and his cronies.

    Did anyone notice on Q&A last week how he almost automatically concluded that the shortfall in taxes resulting from reduced stamp duty and VAT should result in an automatic increase in other taxes to make up the 'shortfall'. As if the rest of us have to pay to maintain his (and his members) standard of living. What a cheek...
