Oh of course... but then again we all assume a lot of things should transpire/be followed which aren't/haven't/continue not to be so done round these parts

I concur. It would be interesting to know however what the legal advisers understood to be nature of the deal.

Interesting aspect of the PWC report is that if those same people had deposits in Anglo and were to have withdrawn them as part of that 5.5 Billion run on the bank then they could viewed as people with loans who had attempted to crash the bank to which they owed money to. That is if their deposits formed part of that run.
Dan Sullivan. I was back but we still couldn't all have a vote.

Similarly, it ought to be explored whether they have other outstanding or recent liabilities to the bank and what they were secured on, if anything.

Interesting point .. to the extent that legal advisors understand what they are told ... by all means they can or should apply legal thinking to situations but at the end of the day all they can really do is apply that to what they are actually told

We're a long way from there currently. And you'd have to question what will there exists among the establishment to push for a return for the exchequer.

is it too late for Ireland to dump anglo , , , gaurantee Irish resident deposits only! and default on the remaining dept?

It could be the only solution, If it's still on he table.
