Not as a Fianna Fail candidate.

But he has stated that he wouldn't rule out running as an Independent.

Pair settle action over 'secret land deal profits' - Courts, National News - Independent.ie

    Thursday July 02 2009

"A FORMER general election running mate of Taoiseach Brian Cowen and a former Offaly GAA football manager have settled their multi-million euro damages action in the High Court after their former business partners claimed they made "secret profits" from four land deals in Offaly.

The case against Ger Killally and Richie Connor was settled less than 24 hours after one of Mr Killally's close friends told the High Court that, in relation to one €2.5m property deal, Mr Killally indicated that the unzoned lands to be bought by a partnership in which both men were involved would be "rezoned in a matter of weeks"."

    Quote

Anyone find this decision strange where a close friend (maybe Biffo) of Killally is allowed to say the above indicating a future happening and the case is settled, pending same.

Killally is a lying FF councillor who has deceived his partners over and over again a former chairman also of the CC, and low and behold he is about to buy fresh land and have it adorned with planning permission and this will solve everybody's problems.

Is this not just the normal FF stroke of getting PP for money, how can he be anyway involved, he should be breaking rocks.

Action over 'secret profit' from Offaly lands settled - The Irish Times - Thu, Jul 02, 2009

At least Connor apologised to the Court and all and sundry but Killally if from the FF'r school of arrogance "never complain, never explain".

How is Killally still allowed complete a property deal after what he has done, could it be the PP is in his gift and is his trump card.

Great, An out-of-court settlement, no criminal charges for the wrongdoing. He'll probably be suspended from the professional bodies for 30 days and have his slate wiped clean, so he can try the same trick again. What a 1st class banana republic we've become.

Is this the end of it Stanley or is a separate case going to be made regarding the other issues in this case, as published in the IT?

secret profits which were not disclosed

two pieces of land were bought for sums less than was represented to the partners

sections were “hived off” and the beneficial interest in those sections was transferred to companies connected to Mr Killally and Mr Connor

1.1 acres were disposed of to a third party without the knowledge of Mr Lawlor, Mr Guing and Mr Daly

That site was sold to the partnership for €10.1 million, but when maps were examined later, it was found only 27 of the 30 acres had been transferred
While he may have made financial amends to his former partners, is his behaviour going to just go unpunished??? Will he be allowed open a new business or be disqualified??? Are Revenue looking into the secret profits??? If this is all over and it's business as usual then we've learned nothing from the past and it will only continue. I wonder has he already ordered an 09 Audi SUV to celebrate.

No reason to believe this lad's word, think this will be back in Court.

Will be interesting to see if actions and counter actions are dropped regarding his former solicitor, whom he was trying to drop the whole bill on.

The banks who lent this guy money will also be on his ass soon, he will be praying he gets put into Nama, Biffo will get him in, a parting gesture.

Shane Ross has already shown how easy it is to become an auctioneer, so many of the rats now jumping ship sure of course he can get back in.

Poster, effin effer, said his house on the bog was gently sinking, this must now be the yoke round his neck.

Killally must be bordering on criminal behaviour, time will tell, but this will not inhibit him as an FF'r expect him back into the fold 3/4 years, probably make him Head of the Ethics Committee.

Who was the friend who spoke to the Judge and whose word is accepted, are there undertakings.guarantees or an FF'r nod and wink.
