    M3 Protests

If there are any protests against the M3 at Tara I am thinking of coming over from Britain to join in.

Does anybody here know if there will be any anti-M3 protests and when they start?

Will there be an occupation of the roads intended route?

Will any Green Party (or other) posters here be actively protesting against the M3?

We must protect our history and landscape. The government seems intent on driving this road through this site crucial to Irish history and culture. The alliance of government and big buisiness destroying the enviroment and our history. Lets not make it easy for them. I feel the ancient high Kings of Ireland watching us.

As far as I am concerned, we only borrow the land we live on for a short period of time. If successive government hadnt made a complete cock up of transport policy since, em, forever, then there wouldnt be so many assh*oles who are in support of the M3 for no other reason than they are stuck in traffic chaos which is ultimately the governments fault. And I do sympathise with those stuck in the traffic - I regularly have to spend nearly 2 hrs to travel maybe 15 miles - a grand old speed of 7.5 MPH. I am definitely buying myself a bicycle in the next few weeks!

I was a bit apathetic about Carrickmines, but the Hill Of Tara is sancrosanct as far as I am concerned - how dare the current crop of gombeens make a decision which will affect all future Irish people in such a cynical way? We cant save every piece of architecture, every little ruin or stack of blocks that we come across but jaysus, at the very least we could make an effort with the important sites and historical locations.
If I could mass-sterilise the planet, I would. Seriously.

This could get interesting if Bertie appoints Sean Haughey to the vacancy in Transport.

Hmm, strange way of sympathising in calling them a**holes?
