Sinn Fein's pin up girl hammered on QandA 19/12

Another poor performance by Sinn Fein's pin up girl Mary Lou on tonights Questions & Answers.

Hammered on a number of occasions:

Laffan on Sinn Féin's spy network in the Republic
O'Callaghan on the spy network again.

This would be the same Questions and Answers that's been on, what, about twenty/twenty-five minutes? Why don't you at least bother to wait until the programme's over before posting up this pointless drivel that you've no credibility on anyway (certainly since the little incident where you denounced FG's performance on the programme before any response had been given).

    Clown.

Her voice sounds a bit slurry, is it always like that?
She went a bit mad with the fake tan.
Losing a few lbs wouldn't go amiss either

Maybe he's come straight from the studio? It is recorded, isn't it?

But McDonald has just given us the standard talking points. Anyone who's been following the whole affair could have written her script for her.
Such predictability isn't always a bad thing but given that most of us watching the programme have a fair bit of interest in politics anyhow, it does make for boring viewing, and the impression that she is unthinking and just going through the motions.
It also makes it easier for opponents to predict her lines of argument and pick holes in them. O'Callaghan has done that well. He's also familiar with Finian McGrath's predictable assertions, and had a fair battery of logical responses to them.
Mind you, I was disappointed that nobody picked up Laffan and McGrath's claims that everyone is entitled to a presumption of innocence until they are before a court (I think that's an accurate representation). As I've written before, if we implemented that, we couldn't allow investigative journalism. And besides, the only place we truly are - under the Constitution - entitled to a presumption of innocence IS a court of law.

Wow, quite the retort. I guess if you say she was hammered (she may well have been, I didn't bother watching it), it must be true. I mean, you're always right when it comes to Q&A, aren't you?

Tell us - did you have a source in the studio texting you during filming (that was your excuse last time, wasn't it?).

    Hmmm ... Maximus,

    you again..

is this the same questions and answers where little willie turned to Finian, as Finian tried to clarify something little willie had alledged by saying, "you must have a poor case if you have to interupt", and then boldly turned round and constantly interrupted every line Mary Lou tried to say ?

And as for the SF "spying ring" in the Republic.

    Lets get real here people.

It seems that many people here think that checking out where a TD drinks, who they drink with, and if they have a bet or not, constitutes a spying ring.

Well a word to the uneducated then. Every party in Ireland operates "spying rings" by that rationale. The only thing that annoyed me about Mary Lou, is that she doesn't stick it to the hypocrites on television when she gets a chance.

I won't take any accusation from anyone in FF, about a spying ring, when one of its own members in the past, made a comment in the Dail about a former leader of FG, who was caught with his pants down (literally) in the Dublin Mountains, with a woman who was not his wife.

    Is that not spying ?

And thats just one case. Not only do I know of that case, but of cases where FG acted similarly.

    And not only that.

But cases where they weren't spying (or smearing) members of opposition parties, but of members of their own parties. Anyone want a hint of that, go look at the Dublin South East thread on here.

That SF politicians are still listening to and putting up with that ************************e from the likes of O' Dea is incredulous. Maybe its time to get dirty, because theres a hell of a lot of it out there.

    So Maximus, cut the ************************e.
