Who does Sinn Fein turn to on this most difficult of weeks? The best. Their national chairperson: Mary Lou.
She performed very well. Very assured. Kept her cool like the professional she is and didn't get ruffled by the cheap shots.
Well done.

But seriously man, please please go and get a life. Your obsession with Mary Lou is alarming.....
"Elite - a small superior group; esp one that has a power out of proportion to its size." (Oxford English Dictionary)
The majority cannot therefore be the elite.
And what does a typical shinner look like then?, do you also have a little sterotypes for PDers and FFers etc, or are you just being your arogant little self as usual.Originally Posted by mjcoughlan

Once I saw the title I knew it had to be TK, when you cut and paste talking points from FF you have no credibility.
I agree that O'Callaghan was quite commendable, as was Laffan. On McDonald, I would have like some Vincent Browne style chairmanship. A member of the audience put it to her that the Provos were living outside the law for years and she didn't answer the d--n question; neither did she tackle the Ó Snodaigh question. She sounds just as she always does, continually repeating the same few lines she's learnt and using them whenever she's asked anything, whether it's relevant or not.

sorry to go off topic here but doesn't donaldson stink of double agent to anyone. this is how i see it.
jean mcconville, widow with 7 children, whacked for comforting a dying young british soldier, body hidden and existance denied for 20 odd years.
donaldson, british agent in high place in SF/IRA depending on your perspective. survives 20 years as agent. warned that SF/IRA (depending on your perspective) were going to "out" him. is he whacked? no, he's paraded for political favour/embarrassment (depending on your perspective).
given the SF/IRA (depending on your perspective) "policy" on touts or collabourators (too lazy to spell check!) do you actually think that the leadership did not know what he was or use him for their advantage???
surely the cold war is not so long ago that we have forgotten all about double and triple agents and the subtle nuances of spying? read a good robert ludlum book (i suggest the bourne books)!!!!
Not being able to govern events, I govern myself. -Michel de Montaigne, essayist (1533-1592)
It was obvious that the PSF line on Donaldson is to turn it into a 'Political Policing' mantra which Mary Lou failed to do last night. I wonder if she's aware of her own partys policing methods of the process?

Back on topic, O'Callaghan made the most compelling case in McDowell's defence yet.
Meanwhile, McGrath was tied up in knots on that "should Connolly explain" question. I think he admitted Connolly had a case to answer.
