    2005 - 15 = 1990.

Number of people killed by the IRA in 1990: 50
Number of people killed by the IRA in 1991: 43
Number of people killed by the IRA in 1992: 34
Number of people killed by the IRA in 1993: 36
Number of people killed by the IRA in 1994: 19
Number of people killed by the IRA in 1995: 4
Number of people killed by the IRA in 1996: 5
Number of people killed by the IRA in 1997: 3
Number of people killed by the IRA in 1998: 2

Looking at those figures my main thought is to be relieved at the course of events over the last 15 years.
Your main thought was supposed to be: 'oh look at that - the ceasefire wasn't a 15-year generation ago after all. The first ceasefire was 11 years ago, but the second was 8 years ago, and the IRA killed people just 7 years ago. I probably shouldn't have said it was a generation ago when it wasn't.'

Once you'd accepted that, I was going to start on why 15 years is way too short to be a generation. But if you prefer, I can just post a photo of Mary Lou.

What age was your mum when she had you, factual?
Unless you think that the average age difference between children and their parents is 15 years then a generation is a lot longer than that.
30 years is closer to the mark, I believe.

Hammered on a number of occasions:

Laffan on Sinn Féin's spy network in the Republic
O'Callaghan on the spy network again.

She got found out all right. Spin Fein have been shown up time and again. Only the gullible are taken in by them now.
