I'm really disappointed with you Seabhcan. National Sovereignty goes out the window and it's a good thing.

I suppose when Hitler invaded The Netherlands, 80,000 Dutch joined the Nazi's within a month. Imagine 1% of the Dutch spied and infiltrated for Hitler.

We are seeing the re-emergence of fascism in the 21st century. The people just don't see the symptoms around them.
Cowardice asks the question - is it safe? Expediency asks the question - is it politic?
Vanity asks the question - is it popular? But Conscience asks the question - is it right?
And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular;but one must take it simply because it is right. -MLK

Thats hilarious. The UK suffers from delusions of grandeur equating Britain with the US and the whole of Europe (including Germany) with no mention of Japan, China etc.

London is the biggest financial centre in the world. But no harm in letting the Anti-brit in you out for a morning walk. Best not to keep him locked up all day - he might go mad.

Hey I have nothing against Britney Spears and you dont have to be Anti-brit to identify a pompous proclamation.

(Leaving aside your idiotic Hitler reference, and addressing the issue at hand...)

National soverignity is not always a good thing. Certainly, global trade rules, global finance, global migrations, and global security has to, by definition, be handled globally.

Personnally, I have always been in favour of global government - and I strongly believe that the UN should be a democratic federal organisation with power over global finance, trade and international relations.

The Current World Order is that certain countries have an unfair amount of power over these issues due to historical reasons and their current military strength. Allowing that system to continue invites military challenges from countries such as India and China. Democratising the process makes the entire global system more fair and more stable.

    Its not rocket science.

(But I doubt this is what Brown proposes. Its just that the current system is not worth defending.)

Whatever about a NWO, there is certainly a blueprint for a New European Order, in which unelected bureaucrats that we don't elect run the show. Perhaps a NEO is a step towards a NWO. The Euro elites want to have all the power for themselves, and supranationalism is seen as a convenient way to centralise power in unelective institutions while using that internationalism as an excuse for the absence of democratic accountability. At present I remain unconvinced that a NWO (in terms of a world-govt) is really what is in the making, but a NEO certainly is.
