Your TD on TV +Dail Education debate, online

Watching the recent debates in the Parliament of Ireland over the
past two weeks from afar, I decided to place them online.

For instance, the "motion re: Education cuts" of Wednesday evening
    last, Oct 29.
    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_tedhF9UqKY]YouTube - Dail debate on Education cuts+Part-1+by R. QUINN -PART I[/ame]

And, the week before that, the debate on the removal of the over-70s
medical card on the day that 30,000 infirmed, elderly & students of Ireland marched
    on parliament square.

Also in there is the ten minutes leading up to midday on Wednesday 22
October, here: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DE97nYmT9g]YouTube - Stormy Q&A for Tainiste as thousands march on parliament[/ame]

Parliament Square.... isn't that outside Westminster....?? Seems like a long way to march especially as the over 70s medical card was being withdrawn from the wealthiest 5%

As for the attendance wasn't it between 10,000 and 15,000 over 70s?

Post whatever opionions you wish on here or Youtube, but a little bit of accuracy wouldn't go astray.... the medical card issue was sufficiently mishandled without you trying to exacerbate it for your own peculiar purposes.

Hello Brian, or is that Mary?

The square outside Leinster House, where the TV interviews are done: parliament square; at least that is how it was described to me when I travelled from abroad
to interview one of your parliamentary representatives in the past.

I've never been to London so I wouldn't know.

The estimates were 30,000 protesters outside the Dail on Wed 22: approx 15,000
between 12-2, and approx 15,000 at the following protest after that.

Both took place before the debate that evening and for that reason (& had you
watched before posting) you'd have heard this ridiculous conversation going-on
inside the parliament on the very day in question.

Thank you for your considerate post. I would point out that I have not posted
opinions, and neither have I revealed any peculiar purposes I might have.

Once again, thank you for your kind comments.

Leinster House is on Kildare Street. The Street leading up to Leinster House is Molesworth St - it is often closed off (causing traffic chaos across the south city) to facilitate protest marches. These are Streets - there is no parliament square - whoever described it as such has clearly never been there!

The first protest was by the over 70s, the second was by Third Level Students objecting to increases in the registration fees ie - there were two separate protests about two separate and distinct issues - hence adding the two numbers and saying 30,000 elderly and infirm marched is just wrong.

    Stop bluffing and correct it
