How does one define worst teacher? I remember the worst teacher I ever had. I got an A in her class because I am a motivated student.

There is no possible way of reliably measuring a teacherīs performance because the outcome of any studentīs work is ENTIRELY down to that studentīs core motivation to learn.

Seriously, the Junior minister for agriculture in Venezuela has more influence over a studentīs outcome than the teacher. People will learn in direct and non variable proportion to their desire to learn.
When you see the words "Mises" or "Hayek" in someone's post, just ask yourself: do I really want to ban paper money and go back to gold?

You have to pity the kind of people who buy into conspiracy theories. I find the following to be the saddest words on the internet: "Re: connection between Bilderberg puppet lady gaga and viral outbreak in ukraine "

Complete twaddle. Aren't you embarrassed? It is amazing how the looney left will twist and turn to try and avoid the ubncomfortable truths. The public secotr is overpaid, underworked and cosseted and well you know it. They should be subject to similar variables as those in the private sector. End of.

    Teachers pay

The last generation grew up largely illiterate and have to be re-educated, we don't owe teachers a penny for a terrible job not done.

Iīm standing by the fact that I got an A in the class of my worst teacher. So my direct experience is that teachers are unimportant and what matters is the learnerīs desire to learn.

If you have some contrary EVIDENCE, showing that a good teacher can somehow turn a class of drug smoking delinquents into bookish A-students, I want to see it.

If you produce the evidence, I will change my mind.

But if I produce the evidence, will you change yours?

I have my doubts, I think your beliefs arenīt the kind which pay attention to mere facts and proof.

Your type of mind usually takes its directions from a "higher" source, perhaps?

If that was the case we wouldn't need an education system, either public or private. All that matters is wanting to learn!
