I wonder, is it as fascinating read as that compulsive page-turner - "Alex Maskey: Man and Mayor", or any of Gerry Adams repetitive snore-fests (rehashing the same book over and over), written for personal enrichment?!
Have to make ends meet somewhere Barry old chap.

I haven't read Martin's book yet but I did read an early draft of some of the Portlaoise stuff he wrote himself years ago and it was fascinating and terrifying stuff. We'll see what the biography is like.

Adams has a book coming out in time for Christmas as well btw. A wee bit different to some of the ones that have gone before.

To football first. My own father fought many times against Ferris on the pitch, he was a dirty, untalented and dishonest player, with an inability to score, run and catch.
Terrible thing to say about your da Harpy.

Yes, well it would have about as much relevant serious factual content as any of his other "books", now wouldn't it?

How close were these two guys jj and ferris. Does it not strike anyone that a biography written by a best friend would be teensie-weensie bit biased?
