    Ahern For Nobel Peace Prize?

Just heard on RTE 9 o clock news. Bertie Ahern (and Blair) are among the nominees for the 2008 Noble Peace Prize. (If there is a thread on this already apologies please delete this one)

Result to be announced Friday - could be sensational - President Ahern a dead cert and an "up yours" to the tribunals!

Rather Ahern then Blair to win it.
Every one sees what you appear to be, few really know what you are, and those few dare not oppose themselves to the opinion of the many, who have the majesty of the state to defend them.

Mercifully neither of these two frauds got it.
I don't believe either were in the running, simply two power crazed has beens using their PR teams to keep their names in the limelight.
One as pathetic as the other.
Actually strike that, no one is as pathetic as Ahern in my book.

Anyone can be nominated for a Nobel prize anyway, its only the winning that counts?

As for Ahern, good riddance to him, he was a symbol for me of all that is wrong with this country, behind the fake smile was a cynical, scheming man of questionable ethics, honesty and character, loved for his soundbites and his faux 'common man' image.

As for Blair, another triumph of style and presentation, but seeing as the Brits had to endure him, I'mnot overly pushed about him, so long as he keeps off the TV. Still, he's no where near as bad as Brown, I never thought I'd see the day I'd prefer a Tory over a Labour party leader, but Brown is intolerable and seems like a complete ***********************************.
If I could mass-sterilise the planet, I would. Seriously.

Ahern for the Joy, I say, let him bring his style of the peace process to the scissor sisters and with luck there will be bits of him all over DNS.
