So in these troubled times it now appears the North further gains benefits that us mere mortals down in the south can only dream off.

The British Medical Association Northern Ireland has welcomed NI Health Minister, Michael McGimpsey's, announcement today, Monday 29th September 2008, to introduce free prescriptions for everyone in Northern Ireland by 2010.

Is it not time for the Irish government to follow suit and give free prescriptions to all Irish Citizens also? Why is health valued more in the North than down here in the South?
