Heard that the RSA are now asking drivers if they have driven to the test on their own? Syrely they are crossing the line between making people aware of road regulations/setting them to actually enforcing them? Heard of a case where a driver was refused his test because he foolishly admitted he drove on his own. I also heard of other cases where having failed a test a driver was asked if he had anyone to drive him home? When he said no he was told yes told to call a taxi! Surely they are crossing a line into law enforcement? Secondly why should they deny a person a test for breaking the law when it would be impossible to prosecute the person on just their evidence alone? The tester is only there to give you a test in an insured/prov licensed/road worthy vehicle-nothing else. This did not happen to me-I drove unaccompanied to my driving test-come and get me! I passed![]()
The RSA are a quango that could do with some pruning. What was the point in their sending out rules of the road to every household? How many people bothered to read them? Its a waste of money but it ticks useless bureaucratic boxes!
