Frankly,my dear,I couldn't give a damn.Bikes and kayaks are ok;someone has to physically move them but horses and yachts shouldn't be there in the first place.Why not micro lite planes then,or bungee jumping? Gaelic sports are as valid as any,I mean how many Graeco-Romans are there?John Treacy's silver in the marathon is worth ten golds for 'equestrian sports'.

I am inclined to agree I must say. The only equestrian event I watch is the Aga Khan cup and this year we had to bring back a 60+ Eddie macken on account of our team being depleted by the Olympics.

I wonder who'd win the Olympic Hurling?

Baroness Doyle was put up to make up excuses for Lynch on the TV tonight. The emergence of this "wrapping" reason for using the product adds a sinister spin to the whole situation in spite of Lynch's crocodile tears. What makes things worse it that he's saying that he has used this on all of his horses for years!

Worst of all they appear to be trying to paint this as his main crime was getting caught!

Obviously someone somewhere knows why this happened and whether there is an innocent explanation though TBH I doubt that at this level there can be any valid excuses

- an honest mistake at best but even then that is a case of gross incompetence!

Better I suupose that it comes out now than with medals awarded and a Hero's Welcome Home....
