'Rob banks to buy your way to Power'

According to an article in today's London Times by Kevin Toolis, that's what the Northern bank robbery and other robberies are about.

Further on he goes on to claim that the recent resignation by Adams and McGuinness from the IRA army council is just for show. "Placemen" under their control have taken their places

    Full article here.

Northern bank robbery to be the subject of a C4 dispatches programme tonight.

Interesting article, and I expect the show tonight to be informative and interesting.

A nine months investigation by a respected journalist team from a highly respected current affairs programme is hardly something to roll ones' eyes about.
I think it might be useful to hear what has been uncovered first before immediately going into "rolling eyes" mode.

And of course this programme will be able to show us conclusive evidence that the IRA robbed the NRB.

It will also have conclusive evidence that the theft was discussed at a SF Ard Comhairle meeting.

It will also have evidence that the money found in Cork 9 months ago, can be forensically linked to the NRB.

How many people have been arrested and charged with crimes in relation to the NRB Vietato. 2 police forces, working non-stop for 9 months, but C4 solved the crime.

    Give it a rest lads.

Speculating that "the IRA did it, because no else did it" doesn;t actually constitute solving a crime.

Moderators, please change the title. There is no evidence whatsoever to support any claim that SF have any connection with the NRB.

I would have expected Gerry and McGuiness to put placemen on the Army Council. They would hardly want a council not under their control. Of course their resignation was for show.

When they put people in the dock and convict them I might believe it. Is he looking for a Bafta for best adopted screen play with the dodgy IMC reports as the source material possibly? Remember the past spook saying "I have never seen more compelling evidence"? Why not one arrest so?
And as for Kevin Toolis, just not a very good journalist!
