Time to ditch the PDs once & for all?

What were Harney & Gormley doing standing beside Cowen?

They contributed absolutely zero to the Yes capaign. At least Gormley had the fake excuse that his party didn't take a stance so that's why he was useless but what was Harney's excuse?

It's clear the PDs being nothing to the table and as FF don't need the votes what is the hold she has that allows her to stay at Cabinet?

I was just thinking earlier that the PDs must be spitting that they didn't back No, it might have saved the party and would have caused FG no end of problems.
Dan Sullivan. I was back but we still couldn't all have a vote.

I don't think either side wanted the PDs involved to be honest but it is almost painful to watch a party that once did some good things simply waste away - Harney & Grealish shuld just do the decent thing and rejoin FF and get it over with and let daffy O'Malley do whatever it is she is supposed to do and let the other guy, whose name I forget, join the Greens or Labour.

Harney did contribte to the campaign -she stayed out of it.
We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns — the ones we don't know we don't know.

all very carefully scripted.. partners in Government... "shoulder to shoulder" ... blah blah blah..
Martin as Minister for Foreign affairs there to take the baton ( hot potato) for Monday...
gives Cowen time to get his script together on Thursday and Friday..

I agree it feels like a party that has expired. It would be very hard to revive and be better to spend that energy elsewhere.

They couldn't - they're in government and they don't have the Green excuse of needing 2/3 backing from the party members

Is that not 2/3 of the remaining member?

Re: Time to ditch the PDs once & for all?

I bet Michael Martin and Bertie's mothers were very similar as both of their sons have grown up in to those type of men who you want to slap at times as they revert to being kids when they've done something wrong. It's slightly sickening to see grown men trying that 'little boy lost' look.

Martin was standing beside Biffo looking like a bold student whose parents have been called into school over his behaviour. Be interesting to see which of the weasels - Martin or Roche can pass the buck fastest ...

Harney should go - when I see her I just think of what she has done to the health system - not to mention other things we're not meant to say in case we hurt her feelings as an out of control obsese person - they have feelings you know - unlike the people who sit on trolleys in rank A&E's who apparenlty don't?
