With the drift into a United States of Europe should we consider joining the United States of America as the 51th State. We already have closer military alliances with the USA than with the USE. We are obviously hugely interested in their politics, and have many cultural links with the US. Would we be more at home as a State in the US than a State in the USE?

An interesting concept but perhapse a bit premature... i don't thing the EU is forming quite a structured system like the USA has... but i personally wouldn't mind being part of the USA or "USE"
