    Condolences to The Navan Families

When I write online, often it is for groups overseas and involves collation
and research, thus this morning I was unprepared for the news reports on
the collapse of the Navan bus Case.

Generally I think the families have too much to deal with and they are
grieving, but I am tired of hearing of survivors being absolutely let down
after such loss. Loreto was my school and the girls form a tight knit
and supportive community amongst themselves that should help
the survivors to come to terms.

Condolences to the families, the sisters and brothers, aunties and uncles.
They are entitled to answers and support.Their losses were insupportable to many
in our extended community who were shattered at the accident and
still think about them. Leaving cert will be a hard time for many.

The few TD's in the area should ensure that closure is given to these
people in a sympathetic manner and they do not have to politically
agigtate to get that- nor use media to expose that grief to everyone.

The case against one of the companies involved in the deaths of
the Navan girls collapsed last week, but today Bus Eireann and others
    were fined and ticked off.

The case against Mc Ardles test centre was dropped,
leading to accquital due to a wrongly dated charge sheet.

A combination of events led to these deaths.I was glad to hear that the
Bus company stated it's remorse to the families, most of the Girls were
at the time of the crash facing into the Leaving Cert.

Many families find themselves in situations where following inquests
and criminal trials very little comfort is achieved from processes that seem to mitigate
against people who (more than anything) just want answers.

The fine against the bus company for faulty brakes was 2 million euros.

Condolences to the families who have lost their girls.

This is the problem with incompetence and such c***, families must do
the work themselves and bear up to that loss too.

I have been a guest in a house near where Sophie Toscan Du Plantier was murdered
and always the family came and asked answers- they have no answers. Where
are the correct forensic and infrastructural provisions to alleviate the expense
    and grief to these people?

People wait years in this country for technical answers from a public service that
seems starved at the root- it is deeply annoying and upsetting to survivors to deal with what
    is essentially criminal incompetence.

One can only hope that the families get on with their lives and don't feel bitter over this, it wouldn't have brought their children back anyways. A sad state of affairs indeed.
