Well, he's certainly a Holocaust Denier. No two ways about it.

Its all a big joke to you and your ilk eh?
The famine was no joke, but your shrillness is a little hard to take seriously.

........its human cost in Ireland was exacerbated by a host of political, social, economic, and climatological factors which remain the subjects of heated historical debate.

Theres no heated debate according to those who wish to ignore everything bar the potato dying.

I hear India is going to remember all those who died of lead poisoning but remove the fact that they were bullets from British guns, In the Future Iraq might remember those who died from shrapnol yet conveniantly forget that huge American bombs were what blew their city apart.

There certainly is a debate, although you don't seem to think so.

    How many potato's died?
Few are willing to brave the disapproval of their fellows, the censure of their colleagues, the wrath of their society. Moral courage is a rarer commodity than bravery in battle or great intelligence.

Theres those who acknowledge everything that happened and those who only want to remember selective parts.
The debate is between realists appolagists and ignoramouses.

The ignoramouses are planning a ceremony to ignore lots of history, the appolagists will absolve the British of any wrong doing and the realists will look at all the Irish fools and wonder how they managed to become such a degrading bunch of grovellers and wimps.

The overly simplistic "Natural disaster" revised view on what happened to Ireland during Travalians plundering of Ireland is to be officially recognised and legitimised.
The demise of the Irish language is also going to be intertwined into this "natural disaster" in another attempt to create a ridiculously simplistic selective look at our history.

    ---------------------

The minister, a grandson of former Taoiseach and President Eamon De Valera, said: "The effects of the Great Famine are still evident today and its legacy has given Irish people an appreciation of issues such as food security and a strong commitment to humanitarian aid and relief.

"If the Famine didn't happen, there could be 12 million people living in Ireland and eight million could be native Irish speakers."

Nothing more amply illustrates the craveness of Irish politicians.
