    What, "let them eat worms"?
Wasnt there a 12 year old jailed in Kilmainham for eating grass that wasnt his own?

How dare the pesky peasent ruin some Landlords front lawn!

The fact that he was kicked off his land, then out of his house and the corn laws and the British were shipping out everything but the potato, couldnt possibly have anything to do with people cramming into small houses, rapid disease spreading and no food left to eat on a luscious green agricultural county?

I must be one of those crazy people who thinks that there was other factors at the time other than the demise of a non native crop.

Of all my ancestors who lived during those times the potato blight effected my great great great uncle the worst:

    RIP Uncle Head

The worms were fed to the hens to produce eggs
Fianna Fail will allow the Irish People, to me milked like Milch Cows, by the CIF through high house prices, rents, and land prices, at the expense of competitiveness, and quality of life. FF+CIF=1

Well with the amount of them there are we have just solved world hunger so

Good news about the memorial day though - long overdue. It does throw up some interesting thoughts though: Where would the USA be now if the famine had never happened and the diaspora not occurred?
