He appears to suggest at the end of that piece that people unnamed are paying other people unnamed to sustain the tribunal's investigations?

another weakass interview from dobson, who didn't pin him down on facts, more insulting evasion from bertie.
Two weeks ago, the tribunal dropped from its list a number of solicitors who were scheduled to give evidence . They were to give evidence concerning their roles in matters that transpired following the unexpected death of Mr Ahern's solicitor, Gerry Brennan, in 1997.
ah the tiniest violins being brought out by the pro-corruption crowd, i don't think the fact that he's dead should stop people investigating his part in this. again people really don't see to be taking this stuff seriously.

like ray burke was unfortunate to entangled in it too..?

Listening to Ahern, it is obvious he wants an end to the Tribunals. He has certainly upped the tempo now he is out of office. Because he is more vunerable now or because digging into Aherns affairs might yet bring others into the spotlight?

The only chance of Bertie coming anywhere near the truth is when he has to answer questions from Mahon under oath, the rest is spin with sprinklings of truths.

4 weeks ago the Sindo advised Mahon had completed investigations into DR's 71 related bank accounts and found nothing, today the Indo advises they have just completed in time for his next appearance later this month, spin, spin and more spin.

So in other words, Ahern admits to committing perjury at his earlier sittings?

There can only be one reason that Ahern is upping the ante now. He must know that once he is out from behind the Taoiseach's desk, with no government press office or Ministers to back him up, the whole rotten edifice is likely to come crashing down around him

And no doubt he did not change it himself, could have been someone in the office, dont know, cant remember but someone must have.
He would never have the balls to try and convince GC she changed into Stg for him and then a few weeks later changed it back into punts and lodged in to PSTB.
