    Don't forget Lowry.....
    "Elite - a small superior group; esp one that has a power out of proportion to its size." (Oxford English Dictionary)

    The majority cannot therefore be the elite.

    I am sure Jackie Healy-Rae, Finian McGrath & Co all have secret lists of things that were supposed to be "delivered" in their constituencies a bit like a mini Programme for Local Government !

    That's supposed to be their loyalty bought. Don't know what Eoghan Harris's excuse is ?

    After the election none of these independents were very forthcoming on what these list items were.

    Finian Mc Grath must be closing in on the biggest hypocrite to ever enter Dail Eireann.
    Not a ************************ing squeak out of him, this from a man who'd start a fight over ethics and poltical conduct in a phone box up to lAst June.
    A total and utter fraud who will be kicked out of office at next election and his silence shows he knows this better than anyone.
    Will be hoping to land a last minute cushy number fro life ala Joe Burke before Bertie is ************************ed out.

    As for the other three oafs, I wouldn't waste my time. They couldn't spell ethics and political accountability between the three of them.

    Finian took Labour's seat in previous election. Will Labour ever be able to regain it? Derek McDowell (previous Labour encumbent of sid seat) was the only candidate who came to my door, that was worth electing. I have no idea what the other stood for.

    Finian also gain votes last time in the Anybody But Ivor (Callely) campaign. Where is Finian now ? Drops in a few crazy circulars and memos from time to time !

    if only joe higgins was a sitting td these days;
    he'd disgrace bertie and his cronies in the chamber, while at the same time humiliating the greens and the pds for their continuing support for the corner boy;
    please god, bring back joe!
