Catalpa and Co, rejoice! According to the last White paper commissioned by the Chancellery of the Goverment of Lithuania the number of emigrating and immigrating Lithuanians is "effectively the same" as of 4th quarter of 2007. As economic situation in all CEE countries (bar Romania and Bulgaria) is roughly the same it is only fair to extrapolate the same findings to all CEE countries. This means this year will be a break-even year, and starting next year net inflow of CEE nationals to Ireland, UK etc will become negative. Surely, great news for all of us, isn't it?![]()
p.s. But who will fix Catalpa's loo in 5 years' time, when the last Polish plumber goes?![]()
