    I wonder if the truth will ever come out about our sordid part in this affair. On a lighter note with the prices Ryanair charge for luggage not evens the yanks could affoard to smuggle anyone with them.

    Didn't intend to be cryptic with the thread title, only meant to give an indication where I stand on this.

    It's also very relevant to the people in the ROI though, as how long will it take the US to admit that your airports and airspace have been used for rendition, and although not exactly rendition, there's this:

    In the UK, the government is talking about withdrawing from EU human rights legislation. (I'm no lawyer, but I don't think it's going to be easy). Which would nicely deal with problem of rendition flights. All this bother for the 'war on terror', more like covering up embarasment.

    The Irish government also 'talked tough', but in reality, what can your government do? Or what is it willing to do?

    Shouldn't he appoligise to the NATIVE INDIGENOUS population of Diego Garcia first? Ethnic cleansing isn't so bad as water boarding I guess.
