To end Homelessness, we must amend the Constitution to curtail the protection on Private Property. Legislation alone cannot bring the response required: http://bit.ly/2vprMwZ

As opposed to the hard right, who use the machinations of the state to create laws that are deliberately skewed in their favour, to the detriment of those they view as inferior. Case in point, this country has totally abandoned any feeling of duty to properly house it's people in favour of creating profits for it's (w)banking overlords. Treasonous sellout Scum.

This thread demonstrates the great job our government is doing to obfuscate and confuse the situation.

100 people sleeping rough is 100 too many, but more insidious are the 8000 people living in "emergency" accommodation and the 10s of 1000s living in homes they need RA and HAP to afford.

FG and FF are delighted to have found a way to simultaneously pay €1bn a year to landlords and also prop up the value of land and conflate it to "homelessness".

That smart people like the denizens of p.ie can't see it for what it is and agree a cause and solution, but descend into name calling and pointless arguments just shows how the government is winning.
