The PRTB will investigate everything if you send them an email
They will not. They refused to tell me how much the previous tenants used to pay. So I've no way to tell if I'm being overcharged or not.

The over regulated nanny state, with decision makers thinking they know better what people want then people themselves. This is the problem here. Just give people choice.

And here you're asking for yet more regulation, yet more legislation, yet more protection.... This is not the way forward.
Agree with you on the over regulation of the Apartments.

Disagree with you on no protection of tenants.

Is 28 days notice enough for any family to find a new house ?

Why are mortgage holders who dont pay their mortgage protected for years
while tenants who do pay their rent have no protection when the rental property
    is in receivership.

There should really be a database so you can look it up.

But that would need regulations !!

Tell that what you are being charged and ask them to investigate

Your party represents the wealthy and therefore sides with the landlords.

Wheres the promised tenant protections on overcrowding or notice periods ?

Yet FG can set up tax free status for REITs to gouge tenants.

FG represents the cohort of voters in A/B/C classes.

There would be much more votes to be had if they cut HAP by 50%

Cant believe they dont do it immediately.

Overall majority awaits if they do.

28 days is not enough. 3 months should be sufficient.
We should really make distinction between complying tenants and not complying (eg not paying). When you're 3 months in rent arrears then landlord should have it easy to cancel the contract and kick you out ASAP. 3 months arrears is more than enough. The current legislation let some tenants stay for 2 years not paying anything at the cost of home owner.

The state wants to offer some extra protection to tenants - fair enough - but then the state should cover the costs and not throw it on business.

    So there is legislation

And you are saying its ok for tenants not to pay rents for up to three months ?

Will we bring in a system where deposit is 3 months rent ?
