Wind Farm Turbines block Aircraft Radar Detection

According to the British Ministry of defense, the dreadfully inefficient, eco-damaging Wind Turbine generators block Radar signals. Any incoming aircraft flying within their three mile wide, 5000ft "radar shadow" or worse, directly above them is radar invisible.

Apart from the risk of airborne terroist attack vis a vis the 911 incident to the UK. Irelands search and rescue abilities at sea would be seriously hampered if any aircraft came down beyond the proposed sites for the turbines on the west coast. Will this new information deter the Green Party's promotion of this most inefficient non-green form of power generation or will they be willing to sacrifice anything in the name of so called climate change?

Carguy, would I be right in suggesting you're coming at this issue from a particular, predetermined perspective?

Yes, but if you look at this map of existing projects provided by the British Wind Energy Association you can see a cluster of such windfarms not far from a place well known to Irish people....... Sellafield!

So basically Iran should be flinging wind farms up all over the place to protect themselves against visiting US aircraft. If only Saddam had known this it might have been so different...

This is a total BS story designed to alarm Joe Public.
They don't even differentiate between primary and secondary radar. They also don't mention that radars have 'cones of silence' above the radars themselves. And always have.

We must also be reminded that mobile phones, my ipod, laptop and lollypops can bring a Airbus A380 to it's knees.

Good point - Iran would then have no "energy needs" excuse for developing nuclear weapons.

Perhaps that's why they are developing weapons, to avoid the perilous dangers of wind turbines.
