Feel sure Pat will make a statement to.morrow saying he was working continuously behind the scenes and this is an agreed solution provided both parties sign non-disclosure agreements going back 20 years.

"Neither Mr Mallon nor Mr Hickey’s Brazil-based lawyers were available for comment on Tuesday. Both men are due to appear in a Rio de Janeiro court on November 29th at 2pm local time. A final decision on the case is not expected before February 2018".

The warm-up has truly begun, the fight looks on.

Am nearly sure this son, Fred, also worked for THG, it sure does read like Fred wants to avail of some kind of insurance policy at his old man's firm.

Pat also put an insurance policy in place at the OCI but Pat says it covers all but nobody from OCI will talk about the policy.

Reported on Newstalk today that The OCI has made a provision for a bad debt of €410K in connection with The Pat Hickey Case, it was a loan they gave him, which he still fully intends to pay back.

He will attend his upcoming trial by skype!

OCI did not put up the USD410k, it was a European Olympic Committee, in other words, his mates in Azerbaijan.

Doubt it will be via Skype.

Wonder if there is a rift with Pat and THG.

The lawyers are trying to tell the Brasil Courts to mind their own business, these contracts were outside Brasil and they have no jurisdiction, bullying rhetoric, this could get like fun.

OCI should contribute to Irish sport,

"The OCI posted losses of €800,000 for 2016 due to the fallout from the Rio ticketing scandal. The government initially withheld €500,000 of outstanding funding to them to sort out their governance issues but agreed to reinstate that two months ago".

OCI should put Hickey on notice that should he be found guilty they will look to recover these losses from him personally.

Hickey has put great store that there is an insurance policy in place to cover his defence but yet the OCI do not refer to it.

"Many insiders had feared a repeat of that shabby trick before Pyeongchang, especially given that Bach – a good friend of Vladimir Putin – has been so reluctant to criticise Russia".

Pat's mates may be too busy to help him out or happy to throw him to the dogs.

how do countries get on the IOC? board can they not use that procedure to remove him

    https://www.irishtimes.com/sport/oth...-oci-1.3316688

seems like you can stay on the IOC till you're 80 and can be only changed of you decide to retire yourself?
