    Ask the question - ?!

As we're all well aware at this stage some of our friends in the fourth estate wander by every now and then. And as some of them are prone to robbing comments and lines of thought from here every now and then I thought we might make it more straightforward for them and also somewhat more beneficial for ourselves.

Hence this thread which is purely for questions you would like someone, somewhere in the media to ask of someone, somewhere in Irish politics. The purpose of this thread in contrast to most others is simply to post questions in the hope that some members of the 4th estate might make use of them and you might get the answer that you have been looking for.

I acknowledge that I am probably contravening the primary point of p.ie a little but I won't allow any discussion or responses to the questions on the thread and I will be heavily modding it and will hide or just plain delete any posts I think aren't in the spirit of the thread or which are simply badly worded.

The question should be specific and topical, rather than vague or general in tone, they should be directed towards a person and I'm wary of allowing them to be too hypothetical.

    Say these as examples

Noel Dempsey: What plans are in place for next June if the number of people on provisional licenses is not appreciable lower than was the case at the end of October?

Enda Kenny: will you allow for a free vote on the European reform treaty?
Dan Sullivan. I was back but we still couldn't all have a vote.

    Good thread, KingKane.

Should be interesting to see what pops up. I must put my thinking cap on and come up with a few questions to pose.

    Well done.

Bertie Ahern: In 1994 you were earning 6 times the (then) average Industrial Wage. Why didn't you go to a credit union if you were short on funds?

What happened about the original Prime Time scandal 12 years ago in the end? Did anyone actually find out why that Pat Tuffy who worked for Ambrose Kelly (alongside Bertie's friend Tim Collins) lied about being paid by Michael Lowry, after Lowry had made the statement about 'cosy cartels' operating in the awarding of state contracts in the semi-state sector (principally aimed at Owen O'Callaghan, employer of one Ambrose Kelly)? Who would have put Tuffy up to that? Did anyone follow THAT up?...

Why has my post been hidden? Nothing libelous in it, just a question.

Mary Harney- Are you going to reduce the VAT on condoms so as to aid in the reduction of STI's and unwanted pregnancies?
