Man shot dead on London tube

London police have confirmed that they've shot dead a man shot dead on London tube. An eye witness on BBC who said he was sitting five yards away from where the man was shot, said an asian guy ran onto the tube as it was sitting in a station with the doors open, with the police right behind him. He tripped and fell onto the ground, and a plain-clothes officer with an automatic pistol stood over him and emptied five shots into him. 'I saw it. He's dead. He's dead.'

Nasy stuff. No news as yet on why he was being chased, although, unless he's found to have had a suicide vest on, I can't see any justification for this.

*shrug* If he wasn't wearing a suicide vest but the officer had reason to believe he was wearing one, or genuinely believed such, then such an action can be justified.

If the cop was aware he wasn't wearing a suicide vest but pretended otherwise, or didn't care, then yes, it is without justification.

The two Asian guys paraded in front of the Worlds media yesterday, who we all assumed were wanna be suicide bombers have been discreetly released from custody today, without any media fanfare. Race relations in London must be pretty bad at the moment in London.

I doubt they randomly decided to chase someone who they thought may have been a Sucide Bomber. Until we know the full story we can't say whether or not it was justified. If he was about to blow himself up, then yes they were right to do it. It's better that he's dead then a lot of people on the tube.

I couldn't give a crap if you're suprised by my stance. Going by the account given by a man who was obiviously shocked by what he'd just witnessed, this man was executed. The had the man cornered, and on the ground. They were standing over him with guns drawn. They chose to shoot him five times.

Maybe if they had tried to arrest him he would have blown himself up and the five police officers would be dead now as well as a lot of people on the tube. I don't know the full story so I can't say for sure wheather they were right or wrong
