There was a strong signal the other day when Mary Lou mentioned ,other ministers knew
Howlin shook is head vigorously, Joan was making excuses today,
The problem with Reilly is he is too close to Kenny, he could bring Kenny with him, Leader and deputy
leader of the party, Kenny had to say again he had confidence in the minister, the more times he has to say
that the worse it gets.. Gilmore has sold the soul of the Labour party in this,
We must remember there is only 18 months.gone yet
Reilly now has to go into the Dail again to explain himself, Too much explaining can work against him
especially if he is digging a bigger hole.
"to the satisfaction of all" = "to the satisfaction of Minister Reilly".
I heard Alex this morning and he will go far in that position. He's gotten the lick-up to Reilly perfect. He is also a very cromulent politician, he didn't answer questions, just waffled all about the topics.
Actually, he sounded more like a Fine Gael TD than a Labour TD.
There are no "positions". PCCs are being built up and down the Country. Something like 50 are up and running already.
The issue of "positions" only comes into it when deciding on which locations to prioritise for PPPs (one of three methods for developing PCCs, and the least favoured method from a taxpayer perspective).
Shortall was asked to provide a list of 20 disadvantaged areas to include in the first round of PPPs. The Department and HSE then added another 15 to the list using other criteria (which we really should be given more information about).
But the 15 were not put on the list because of their ranking on the disadvantaged list, which was only one creterion for inclusion.
Brian Hayes, Mary Lou MacD and Shane Ross on The Week in Politics, discussing this.
Certain elements in the FFGer's are smelling blood at the moment, can the man with no ballz hold the naughty little boyz "n" galz of his party together? He only has only lewd bigot Hogan and Dr Sleaze O'Reilly with a small cohort watching his back, all we need is the one other minister that has been holding his counsel to make a statement and then things will be really funAt the very least once one more item becomes public Ms. Kenny will then have to take his least desireable action to hold the little FFger's together
Apologies for posting so late on this thread....hurling,gardening,ironing and golf got in the way....!!
Did anyone see in the Sunday Times today the story about the Balbriggan site already going ahead under an "operational lease" agreement with the HSE..??....A developer expressing surprise that the site appeared on the Ministers list for a PPI as the agreement was already in place?
heard it on one of the radio shows today...if true its even worse than "stroke politics"..its taking credit for a PCC already in the bag!! (??)
Cannot log into Sunday Times...used to be able to pay for one issue..now looking for 3 month commitment...way of things to come I suppose!!
