Now how does a man of such high moral standards reconcile this attitude with his failure to pay his lawful taxes?

Or is sex still the only sin in the catholic shurch?

I'm sure their 'loose cannon' law can both paise and demonise tax evasion at the same time!

It would appear so.

Moral outrage at anything sexual (outside of marriage). We are a ridiculously fupped up country when it comes to the moral compass.

You forgot that oen a little further down in the piece. How can the Revenue actually collect their blood money?

Other than being a Catholic, Padraig O'Shea has no role with the Catholic church.

This has nothing to do with the Catholic church.

I'm sure a good Catholic like himself will have no trouble whatsoever reconciling his actions to his high moral standards...I'm sure he'll still claim the moral high ground over the lot of us, especially young wans who dropped their knickers!

As a school principal, he invoked the 'catholic ethos' of the school to refuse entry to a pregnant teenager
- the school, because of its 'Catholic ethos' did not accept 'such girls'.

The Catholic Church tries to distance itself from the actions of members who claim to be upholding its ethos.

I don't know enough about the Islamic Faith to comment.

I know enough about the Roman Catholic Church to indict it for appalling itreatment meted out to vulnerable people by people acting on its behalf.
