Shocking story from France.

Victims appear to be a British family.

Just awful stuff.

The family had been staying at a campsite in Saint-Jorioz with their two daughters. Police say there are still no clues as to the motive for the killings and no arrests have yet been made.

Maillaud said 15 cartridges were found around the car, suggesting all the gunshots had come from outside the car, and an automatic pistol appeared to have been used but no weapon has been found.

He described the discovery as being like a scene from a film: "We don't know who could have done this. We have no idea."

That poor child, my heart is breaking for her. What terror she must of been in, first to witness the shooting then seen the French police and hearing them around the car , while she was frozen under her mother. Hopefully her sister will pull through so she will have someone to come to terms with it all.

Sounds like organised crime.

Indeed. Very, very sad. Poor little thing.

When I heard this, and with the imagery on TV news etc, I couldn't stop thinking of the day of the Jackal.
