Dubcentral, if you've ever expressed concern about Afghans or Iraqis on this site, the way you have about Britons tonight, then I will apologise to you. If you have not, then I really believe you are a racist.

There were far more bomb attacks on the British mainland during the troubles, than there were in the 26-counties. Do you think is reasonable, therefore, to point that out to you the next time you start banging on about the Dublin and Monaghan bombings?

Whataboutery works both ways, you know.
id say there were very few in which the British police assisted the perpetrators . Id also say it would be highly irregular for the British police to harass the families of those blown up , hence my banging on .
Do you think those families should stop banging on about it too ?

Okay, I don't recall ever epressing concern about Afghans or Iraqis on this site. However, I have done so in conversation all the time, and I would like to now. What is going on in Iraq and Afghanistan is truly terrible. I don't want you to apologise, however, one can't mention every single area of concern in every post.

yeah you wonder why there's name calling. There's nearly a reason for everything. The car bomb is no different

even calling it an undetonated bomb is a bit generous

I didn't say you should stop banging on. I'm simply pointing out that this is a thread about the terrorist attacks in Britain. You chose to note that there are more attacks in Iraq and Afghanistan. It seems rather hypocritical of you not to apply the same standard to your own threads.

This is ridiculous. I don't usually agree with Dubstcentralboy, but all he's doing is pointing out that our nearest neighbour and biggest trading partner is in a state of critical security. We're a small country, so what happens near our neck of the woods is of course relevant to us. I'm more concerned about a bomb in London than one in Basra because it's closer. That's human nature.

    True.

But there is a link between bombs in London or Glasgow & bombs in Iraq or Afghanistan

And there lies the problem in making a huge song & dance about unexploded bombs in London.

then raise the issue in those threads and kindly stop attempting to derail this one . Or even better still START an actual thread and make a piont that can be analysed (probably for the first time ever) instead of your usual f.ucking nitpicking , grumbling and sniping from the sidelines while making no discernible political point whatsoever .
