    Expert saying top bunch over paid but clerical workers 40% below what Dutch workers paid.
    We have far below average sized ps.

    Actually, he is trying to have a rational structured discussion about the accountability inside the public sector.

    It is becomming clear that nobody is actually in charge, but a lot of people get paid, as if they were.

    The adaptation of technology is also a big problem.

    It is not just in the public sector in Ireland that there is rampant mismanagement, by the way.

    ONe thing for sure this thread wont gain much traction

    We just seem to talk about how overly paid they are, what wasters they are, how lucky they are,

    Dont be saying that other public servants in other european countries might be paid more than ours

    That wont go down well

    Yup, that is part of it. My sector we are using new tech without complaint, except we are being trained and encouraged to use it and we don't actually have near enough of it for us to use.
