The drafting was terrible, right enough.

The problem they were dealing with mainly has to do with traditionalist catholics though. That's the reality.

Maybe there's hope for the LP yet. That just leaves the matters of school ethoses and the Embassy.

Gilmore's 'not an inch on Vatican' sparks crisis - National News - Independent.ie

    More Labour Anti Catholicism.
I prefer the Unionists .At least you know they are Anti Pope ,and that is their fascination. Its overt. No lip service to 'Pluralism' or 'Liberalism.'
The Labour Ministry don't seem to be a bit interested in Politics, only in dismantling as much Catholic infrastructure as they can over their four years in Office.
Plus ,the majority of the Dail[OUR elected representatives]seem to want the Vatican, but Gilmore is refusing reconsideration.

Ha, the gob************************es in Clontarf now discover what a political harlot Ó Riordáin is, as he pisses all over the stooges he led by the nose and now discards as the expendible knob-ends they undoubtedly are. Ó Riordáin would sell his mother into slavery in order to advance his political career. He cares nothing about the issue; it's just a smokescreen to divert attention from Labour's complete abject abdication of their principles. It's Ó Riordáin's own Vatican embassy three card trick. Ó Riordáin and Gilmore are nothing but cynical slimeballs, a disgrace to politics, the last thing we need right now are this pair of scumbags...

he can clarify all he wants- the cat's out of the bag now. labour has a problem with catholics and are happy to indulge in hate speech (no place for the catholic ethos) and discriminatory witchhunts in the workplace should they feel them to be necessary. now the cowardly fkrs are backtracking and don't even have enough backbone to stand behind their own bigotry.

Its just pure bigotry.Every day there a Labour led attack on 'Catholic Ethos' ,and its none of their business ,which Catholic Facilities Mr/Mrs Private Citizen avails of in the State.
If people don't want Catholicism they will stop supporting it.A move to secularism should be led from the ground up.I don't like Labour pushing it on the population.Politics is their business and there is plenty of room for reform in areas outside of Catholic Ethos. Its like a fixation by them.
