Well, at least it's not a fire death trap, like some recent constructions in Ireland.

you know now that i think about it.

slap in some windows, some underfloor heating ,and a thatched roof and it'd make a fair interpretation of a modern day crannog

im amazed some council lad doesnt want to make it their new interpretive center !

Well, I think it's nice... having seen the original 'henge' at Stonehenge which is all rough-looking and knocked about (and owned by the Brits) (and you have to pay to see it) it's a pleasure to see a Modern-Day Celtic one (all finished off and shiny-looking) being put up here by a well known Son of Erin. Are we getting a levy in the Budget so we can pay for it on a community basis? Or is it a Gift to the Nation?

or The Great Pyramid of Dooega? Lot of concrete needed for that.

We already have (plans for) the The Hanging gardens of Anglo Irish. Will there be a statue of Seanie Fitz? Not so much concrete needed for that.
