The Irish favour abortion out of state, but not at home?

Thousands of Irish women go out of state for an abortion, despite the state's position on the issue. Two provisions of the constitution contradict each other. One prevents abortion in the Irish state, while the other supports the right to travel and get information about it. When will the hypocrisy and denial stop. Why do Irish women travel to the north for abortions, is it that the British have more rights, than the Irish who live in a communist state?

Communists of course being renowned for their hardline anti-abortion stance.

Abortion is not banned here if the expectant mother is suicidal.
