    Arise Kenny, Our next Taoiseach.

FF and the Greens have failed. Kenny can still do it. Kenny plus Labour plus the Greens and PDs. 79 in total. A by election win for FG in Mayo. A by election win for the Rainbow in Dublin Central when the most cunning, the most devious of them all is finally caught.Get the Independents signed up Kenny. Your time has come. Lets kick FF ass and kick those crooks into opposition.

Hmmm, well they've probably a better chance of getting Finian Mc and Tony G on board now seeing as FF very quickly bypassed them as a government option

Nono! FG are certainly wise to let time go by and wait for the next election in which they will win a landslide, a true mandate to govern the country. With the current parliamentary numbers they would be foolish to push for their government because it would be a fragile government.

After the next elections, FG and Labour together will have over 83 seats and they will allow the Greens on board as well.

Uhh, the Greens have just declared working with the PDs to be one of their big 'issues' so no, I don't think this is plausible.

Ah yes but the biggest betrayal is yet to come. Watch Labour acting in the "national interest" and shafting Rabbitte. Of course the PDs would get caught in the crossfire with Harney being made CC.

A week, never mind five years, is a long time in politics. Who knows how the incoming government will perform?

No guarantees for Enda in 2011 or 2012.
Who would want green "one of the mob" ratings? Red and proud!

Someone check that Contract thingy. If he has promised not seek election again for not having delivered all of his promises, he may not be running again. Right now he hasn't even delivered on being made Taoiseach.

Possibly JMCC.. but would Labour not be better off having the balls to wait it out for a little while, and let Lowry, Mc Grath or Gregory take down FF at the best possible time ?

I'd imagine if the election were run again in the morning, that Tipp South wouldn't return two FF again for example.

Though on the opposite side, SF might get squeezed further
