I think I know what you mean: Sutherland was chairman of AIB when they wrote off Fitzgerald's debt in 1993.

I remember watching a program on the Bilderberg group a few years back where this guy tracked them down to a meeting out in the middle of nowhere. At night they were all dancing around some fire while burning an effigy of a giant owl. Freaky stuff.

McDowell has attended the meetings, along with three other ex-Attorney Generals (Sutherland, Gleeson, Byrne).
Of course Gleeson, Sutherland and Fitzgerald also have a strong AIB/FG connection.
