Oh, sorry to trouble you all; I've found it.

    Ample anecdotal evidence.

    Distinctly uniform taste in cars

Some sort of system in place

I observed a very poor example of a 1993 Nissan Micra the other day. I was thinking "God, I hope Jenny (my car) never looks like that".

Then, up came the owners. I swear to god, maybe their beamer was in the shop, but an african man and three children bounded into it.

That car must have been worth -- oh, three, even four hundred euro.

Give it up guys. There's no pattern. You're just paranoid.

    Evidence. Please.
    BLG :

Move to an area with high immigration rates and you will see for yourself.

Short of witnessing it with your own two eyes what kind of evidence could I produce on an Internet Site that would satisfy you?

Unless he already lives in an area with high immigration rates.

What evidence could borderlinegenius expect to see, if he lived in such an area?
Nothing will motivate the lazy / apathetic / Americanised / west-British types to embrace their culture and the Irish language.

    *Sigh*

In the last couple of years, I've lived in Dublins 1 and 7 and Balbriggan (and worked for a long while in your part of the world, D15), before deciding to flee the ethnics and go live in Drogheda which, to my shock and horror, is becoming distinctly blacker by the week. I haven't had an Irish neighbour in three years.

What kind of evidence could you produce? Hmmm. Well, suppose I wanted to prove that asylum seekers are entitled to certain benefits from the state. I would find an internet site which gave such information (preferably a state site), and then post it up.

If, as you contend, asylum seekers are being given free cars, there must be some government site which perhaps offers such seekers forms to download and complete, before getting what they - in their primitive way - will probably know only as 'vroom vroom'.

Or is it really your contention that this scheme is top secret and being kept from the Irish people?

(By the way, Catalpa, I'm not cock-a-hoop about the huge amount of immigration into this state, and there are valid and compelling arguments against immigration, but all you seem capable of doing is peddling racist myths and ranking ethnicities.)

Yeah, I think that's the whole point of an urban myth.

And, in fairness -- even Dublin only barely qualifies as "urban".

What other urban areas have you in mind?
