Death of Dr. Michael Ffrench O'Carroll

Saw his death notice on today's paper. Met him a few times when he was involved in setting up Arbour House addiction centre in Cork. Man with a great social conscience.
Someone more knowledgeable than me could probably give a fuller picture, but I believe he was a close ally of Noel Browne when it wasn't safe to do so. RIP.

A very nice, gentle man as I remember him, I wouldn't have agreed with him on the issues of harm reduction etc, he was very much in the criminalisation - 12 step vein but he did do good work when none were interested in the issues...that said few enough informed people are to this day so....

    Rest In Peace

As a former member of Fianna Fáil I have to say Dr. Ffrench O'Carroll was a great crusader for the rights of the poor in Ireland.

    May he Rest in Peace.

RIP. I was listening to Vincent Browne last night, and Vincent mentioned that they had tried to get him on the show in the recent past. Has then been any obituary published recently?
