Ithink we should get a view from P. j. mARA---He is a wise old owl and his view would be worth listening to

No I dont think so. Enda is simply stating the facts. He has gone to extreme lenghts to avoid any personal attacks on Bertie Aherne, and has not being party to any of the media frenzy.

McDowell is clearly trying to re -iginite the 'the moral watch dog image', which he pulls out of the bag every five years. You have to admit that its a bit of a coincidence, that despite evidence to the contrary, every time there is any mention of Bertie and the money, FF launch straight into an attack on Enda Kenny and FG. This appears to be the new strategy by FF, in order to score a hit against FG. You would have to wonder have the PD'S also bought into this strategy????

Will McDowell make it past the weekend, if Bertie ( as he likely will) strings the PDs along until after election day?.

It may well be a country and western PD party, with a Dublin wipeout of O'Donnell Harney and/or McDowell. They are likely to be starved of transfers on all sides.

Actually the C&W contingent of the PDs were the ones who were most concerned for their seats as they are largely dependent on FF transfers. The Dublinite faction is also dependent on transfers to a lesser extent (I think). So I guess that you could say that the PDs are damned if they walk and damned if they don't.
