How do you define a Republican? I'm pro-Republic etc. but not a Sinn Feinn supporter. Am I welcome?

I would say that anyone who wants to see the end of British occupation of their country and a new (not the current 26 county system) 32 county socialist republic would be the definition of a modern Irish Republican. The ideals that Bobby Sands, Thomas Ashe and countless others died for in fact.

Btw, I'm not a PSF or an RSF supporter also, and I might attend. Do you have any respect for Bobby Sands? That would really define republicanism
for you and whether or not you'd be 'welcome'.

Jane, in your heart of hearts, Im sure you know that that is not true. There were sectarian elements in PIRA, but you can see in Sands writings that he certainly wasnt one of them.

32 country bit i could live with i guess but the socialist bit is just so outdated its not funny, over and over again its been proven that socialism whilst a noble concept is at odds with human nature
