Alan Dukes - Public Interest Director Should resign

Alan Dukes was on Newstalk this morning telling Ivan that he is not been listened to in regards to the anglo solution.
He claimed that if he had €100 for everytime he has been ignored then he would be a rich man.

Would the public interest not best be served by a symbolic and public resignation of him given that his presence and salary drawdown is to no effect and directly in conflict with his role as public interest director.

I heard that too, and it was not expanded upon. Dukes must go, as he is only a patsy now for the government because of his past political career.

Alan Dukes signed off on the 2008 Anglo Irish accounts that showed a profit of €748 million. That alone demands his resignation along with that of Frank Daly.

For what its worth - you hear people defending politicians saying that they are driven by a desire to do public service and that although they are not driven by money they should be reimbursed fairly.

Alan 2 pensions Dukes could have probably done this gig for free out of the public interest - and i thought he was one of the guys people held as an example of integrity etc etc etc

Now though Alan -The govt are bypassing you and mike aynsley so put pressure back on them by resigning.

Yesterday's developments in Anglo-Irish were pretty much thanks, now get lost to Dukes and Aynsley. Still, seeing as they are paid a pretty penny they can hardly complain. Aynsley will have already lined up his next parachute job whereas Dukes has proved yet again that he still thinks he's a great statesman.

    He's not, he's a branded FF tool.

Not only should he resign, he should also be forced to return all money he received from Anglo.

Hasn't Dukes refused many times to say how much he receives for his (part-time?) gig at Anglo Irish Bank?

Agree with previous poster that 2 pensions Dukes should not have been paid and done it out of public service motives.
