Meh....I'm not a huge Kenny fan, but the putsch against him was ill-advised, planned and poorly led. Nonetheless, occasionally he has Napoleonic moments that show statesmanship, in particular I refer to his 'we're abolishing the Seanad and 20 TD's' speech which caught everyone in his party out, including Frances Fitzgerald. So at the moment he gets the benefit of the doubt but then, there's little choice.

The biggest issue I have with him, and apologies for taking this thread off-topic, is that he won't deliver what we really need, a coalition where FG will be very much the senior party.

Has he not already back-tracked on the 20 TDs promise?

I agree that it will be a big jump for FG to get three, i just see it as far more likely than SF / PBP / WP / Ind getting a seat and given that Lab are loosing a very high profile candidate they will find it harder to get 2 seats
I agree Liz is gone trying to pass her seat off to son, hope the voters see this one coming - its not her seat!

Fortune is not really TD material, the Council is his best chance, as for FF well they have their own problems and they are too many to list and that goes for Ind who are really FF but passing themselves off as Ind, Greens are gone gone never to be seen again, SF maybe in ten years but not now to many real issues out there, FG Timmons terminally damaged within party may have a fight, Doyle who the hell is Doyle, he got there by accident, Harris good punt and will get a seat in Nrth Wicklow, Ryan not a chance Harris will eat him alive and if you dont believe that then you do not know what he did last year, ryan needs to pass away quietly and let FG secure Harris as that is their real chance. FF 1??, FG 2/3, Lab 1. But young McManus would want to remember young Mr Brennans dismal failure in South Dublin last year, the voters dont buy into this passing off seats to sons and daughters anymore.
