Thanks as ever Eurocitizen, you're a star, an FF one, but still a star. So we've been completely wrong in writing off the last result as an aberration. As previously stated, big result for Labour, moderate signs of improvement from FF but nothing to indicate that they're on the way back, and a total fiasco for FG.

Clearly people are not happy with FF - signs of permanent damage to their support (remember their core vote under Ahern was invariably poor anyway) - but they're not rushing into the arms of FG either. We seem to have three main so-so parties now, relatively evenly split. The next few governments will be made up of various parings of these 3.

I find it fascinating how FF spinners always try to shift the focus on the Opposition, and ignore the lazy, incompetent, useless slob they were told to select as the chief shark in their cess pool.
