I don't see O'Dea deciding to quit politics but without Willie unbalancing the ticket the prospect of Fianna Fail retaining two seats in this now 4 seat constituency might be more realistic.
To be honest though Fiona O'Malley is hardly in the first flight of poiticans and she has no track record here in Limerick that I know of? I also think it is a long time since the O'Malley name carried any weight locally.

Maybe if she were to run as an Independent but FF will take a hammering in the next GE. If O'Dea runs again, she can forget about it.

    Hope for the city yet.

The night he resigned a load of people were adopting the, 'We've no minister now boo-hoo' and 'he's great to turn up to things'. People are beginning to cop on, a bit..

Maybe Willie could visit the Garden Of Rememberance to see if that helps him.
