By we, I mean the individual posters on P.ie, not our governments.

So far, only toughbutfair and I have answered the question.
When you see the words "Mises" or "Hayek" in someone's post, just ask yourself: do I really want to ban paper money and go back to gold?

You have to pity the kind of people who buy into conspiracy theories. I find the following to be the saddest words on the internet: "Re: connection between Bilderberg puppet lady gaga and viral outbreak in ukraine "

Both ourselves and Denmark called China to account at the UN Human Rights Forum before Sleeveen Bertie changed to policy. Scandinavian countries regularly highlight Chinese human rights abuses.

So you reject the notion of "better late than never" then?

Right now, I look upon China's leadership as probable future mass murderers. But it's a big step from probable to actual mass murderer.

When China's current leaders take the step to actual mass murder, then I will respond by halting purchases.

If I read you correctly, and please correct me if I'm wrong, you will continue your purchases from a mass-murdering regime unaltered?

FF & EU will welcome in millions of chinese boat people.

The establishment gets more wage suppression, kickbacks from people smugglers, sex workers, drug importation, and triad cannabis farms, not to mention sweat shop workers, and the odd token face in their political party. The chinese government gets rid of its unemployed and gets a stronger emigre colony in Ireland (all be it an initially hostile one). And the EU bigwigs and lefty media types get to spew about how generous the west is in "saving" these people and how enriched everyone now is because every 7th person in the EU is chinese born.

    Simples!

Is it too much to hope for a third person to vote whether or not to halt purchases in the event of massacres?

And what will you personally, not your government, do?

I remember a time when some people believed in personal responsibility for their actions, and didn't pass the buck on to higher-ups, but took some of the burden themselves.

If I quit buying Chinese goods, it will hurt China. If I throw away the Chinese goods I already have paid for, it will not affect China, or anyone except place more burden on my local landfill.

If I and 20 million others quit buying Chinese goods now, then when the massacre begins we will have zero leverage against Beijing.

If we continue our buying until the shooting starts, then we have the power to punish China to some extent for her misdeeds.

Will you continue to refuse to answer the question as to what you, personally, will do? If so I will have to stop responding to anything you say. It's kind of rude to keep ignoring the question.
